MAXIM WAKULTSCHIK

Infinite Color Symphonies

In his practice, Maxim Wakultschik explores light, movement, and vibration. The human presence in his work is never merely an external image, but an inner universe. Portraits transform into psychological landscapes, where light becomes the language of the soul. As he puts it: “What shines and vibrates does not merely exist; it lives and breathes.”

About Maxim

Since studying fine art, Maxim Wakultschik has succeeded in transforming his pictures into an object-like matter using a variety of different materials and self-developed production techniques. Maxim Wakultschik’s art consists of mathematically precise and accurately constructed works, in which a formal order is created out of independent individual parts. In his complex and multi-layered work, he explores the interplay of light and shadow, surface structure and color vibration. The focus lies always on the effect that is created by the reflection of the ambient light and leads to oscillating variations of reality, which constantly challenge us to approach the works proactively. In the encounter with a work of art by Maxim Wakultschik, the smallest movement, the slightest change of perspective leads to amazing new impressions. This makes the works look like kinetic objects – the dividing line between reality and illusion is blurred. We are constantly stimulated to overcome the limits of our perception.
